I have been licensed to practice law since 1994, when I received my Juris Doctorate from the William Mitchell College of Law and passed the Minnesota State Bar Exam. Prior to law school, I graduated from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis, from Mesabi Community College in Virginia and from Cook High School.
Send me an email at
ange@sipilaw.com or call to set up an appointment. We can meet at my office or another location that is convenient to you, as long as our conversation cannot be overheard by anyone. Everything said between us is 100% confidential.
I do not take cases on Criminal matters or Personal Injury, although, if you live in Northeastern Minnesota I can take the time to answer questions via email, per #6 on the faq page. Thank you for reading my website.

Colleen A. Kosluchar, senior paralegal, has twelve years of experience as a lawyer in Alaska, but she is not licensed (yet) in Minnesota. Prior to 2002, she practiced criminal, family and estate law in the Law Firm of Niewohner & Associates in Fairbanks, and she started her career as a Law Clerk for Superior Court Judge Mary E. Greene and spent five years with the Alaska Public Defenders' Agency. She then spent several years in Key West, Florida. Colleen is a graduate of Chisholm High School and of Northeastern University School of Law, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Minnesota. She also studied at the Institut des Etudes in Nantes, France. She currently resides in the town of Chisholm, with her artist husband and her Hurricane Ivan baby, keeping fond memories of her sabbatical from the Law.

Attorney Andrew J. Phillips
Attorney Andrew J. Phillips is my landlord and his Law Office is in the same building as mine. He has over 34 years of experience in general practice, with an emphasis in family law. He also has an office in Ely. His assistant, and my good friend, is Barbara McKinley. His phone number is (218) 749-2620.
Accountant Dan I. Johnson
Accountant Dan I. Johnson (
www.dijohnsonco.com) works in this building during tax season (January to April), his Virginia phone number is 218-741-5684. His full-time office is at 3105 E Beltline, Suite 301, Hibbing, phone (218) 263-8420.
Volunteer Attorney Program (VAP)
The Volunteer Attorney Program (VAP) also rents in this building and provides assistance for low-income people in filling out pro se (no-lawyer) legal forms, in finding a free or low-cost attorney and in understanding how the legal system can help. The number for VAP is 1-888-law-aid1 (1-888-529-2431) (do NOT accidentally call 888-law-aide, that is an embarrassing sexy chat-line). The VAP agent in Virginia is Scott Wudinich (an easy-going guy from Eveleth), and he has training in mediation and parenting education.
Cheryl Olivanti is the agent with Ameriprise Financial in the small building right next to us. Three of their agents (Mark, Tyler and Ron) come in from out of town and don't fit in their building, so they have an office in our basement and occasionally use our conference room, usually on Wednesdays. Personally, I prefer investing in no-load funds through Janus or Fidelity, but sometimes financial planning agents can be helpful.
